About The Hooks
The Hooks, 2022 is an original violin handcrafted by Antoni Ruschil made in the traditional Cremonese style. Featuring our inimitable style of scroll and constructed from Bosnian maple and fine grain north Italian spruce, it has been created as the original masters intended a violin to be.
With a deeper arched front and back, it has a full bodied, smooth & clean sound. Paired with Thomastik Rondo strings it is also a precise, confident and powerful violin. The Hooks would suit a confident player looking for the next step in their tonal capabilities.
Finished with a very fine coat of golden orange varnish handmade at Ruschil & Bailly, The Hooks is a nod to the great varnishes of the early Cremonese instrument makers.
Completed with boxwood pegs, tailpiece & endpin made by Gerald Crowson and boxwood chinrest made by Alexander Accessories, The Hooks is finished with the highest quality fittings in the world, all handmade in England.
